Maesbury Riverside is a newly furbished, two bedroom luxury, holiday cottage with all the facilities a family needs on a self-catering holiday, including a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, family sized bathroom with shower and bath, and a large living/dining room with TV and wifi. The main bedroom has a double bed and cot, and the second bedroom has two single beds. The house is situated in the countryside and shares access to a large garden along Morda brook, with BBQ terraces and ample garden furniture for enjoying the outdoors.
Within walking distance of Maesbury Riverside are two local taverns for evening meals or a leisurely drink and stroll along the canal. On a holiday at Maesbury Riverside, you will be torn between staying at home to enjoy the beautiful Shropshire countryside, exploring close to home (British Iron works and Llanymynech Limeworks) or venturing further afield to visit the Ironbridge museums, Cosford air museum, Snowdonia National Park and the Welsh mountains, lakes, castles and coasts.
Maesbury Riverside is ideal for families, for couples or friends seeking a retreat in the quiet countryside or for active holidaymakers looking for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, climbing, rock climbing, fishing or golf. Keen shoppers can visit Oswestry, Wrexham, Shrewsbury, Chester, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet or the Trafford Centre in Manchester.
Oswestry market town is five minutes by car. Nearby airports are Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham, which are all just over an hour’s drive from Maesbury Riverside. Access by train is via Gobowen railway station, which is situated ten minutes from Oswestry by car.
Maesbury Riverside is a two-bedroom, furnished, single storey building with front and back doors. The heating is oil fired and costs for electricity and heating are included in the holiday rental. Wi-Fi is available and included in the holiday rental. All items in the property are in good condition unless otherwise noted here and will be expected to be in good condition for return of the deposit.
The floors are oak laminate throughout and in good condition. The interior walls are newly decorated and there are ten original artworks hanging throughout the property and wooden venetian blinds on all the windows.
The entrance hall has doors leading to the living room, bathroom and two bedrooms. The kitchen is accessible through the living/dining room.
The kitchen is fitted with dishwasher and washing machine, fridge, freezer, oven and hob.Also available in the kitchen are a toaster, microwave, kettle and coffee maker. All kitchenware (pots, pans, cutlery and cooking utensils) are provided.
The living room / dining room has a large oak dining table which seats six and a high chair is available on request. The living area has a leather sofa and chairs, a coffee table and rug, and a large flat screen TV and audio centre.A child walker is also available on request.
The bathroom has a large bath, shower, sink and toilet. Eight towels are provided, a laundry basket and bath mat.
The main bedroom has a double bed, a chest of drawers, a fitted wardrobe, two bedside tables with lamps and two upright cupboards. There is also a cot with dropdown side and castor wheels for mobility. Bedding and sheets are provided.
The second bedroom has two single beds,a chest of drawers, a fitted wardrobe and two bedside tables with lamps. Bedding and sheets are provided.
Access to the accommodation from the road is via a driveway, with parking for two vehicles to the rear.The outside garden and grounds are communal. The holiday rental includes access to a large terrace with goldfish and carp pond, pizza oven and BBQ, and to a further terrace down by the river, also with BBQ. There are tables and seating on each terrace for up to eight and two sun loungers on the pond terrace. Apart from the terraces, there is an extensive lawn (one acre), which borders the river Morda.
1. In these terms and conditions “you” means any or all members of your party staying at Maesbury Riverside and “we” means the landlords, Mr Trevor Edwards and Mrs Kirstie Edwards.
2. All communications relating to your booking (including refunds) will be sent to the email address you provide at the time of booking.
3. At the time of booking you will be asked to provide the names and ages of all members of your party. No additional guests will be permitted without our specific agreement which you must obtain prior to your arrival at Maesbury Riverside.
4. You agree to pay a deposit of £200.00 at the time of booking. The deposit will be refunded to you within 2 weeks of the end of the letting period provided that the property is left in good condition and with no breakages at the end of your stay.
5. If we are able to accept your booking, we will send you a written booking confirmation, and access to MaesburyRiversidewill be given once you have made full payment of all money due.
6. If you wish to cancel a booking you agree to advise us in writing at info@maesburyriverside.eu. We will refund the deposit on receipt of your cancellation email. We will seek to re-let MaesburyRiversidetominimise our loss. If we are able to re-let, we will refund 100% of the holiday rental amount paid by you, less an administration fee of £75.00. If we are not able to re-let, and you have given us at least 8 weeks’ notice of cancellation, we will refund to you 50% of the holiday rental amount paid by you; but if you have given us less than 8 weeks’ notice of cancellation we will not refund the holiday rental amount paid by you. We will retain the holiday rental amount paid by you until we receive a replacement booking (or until your planned arrival date if no replacement booking is received) and we will only make a refund as set out above.
7. If you choose not to use a confirmed holiday booking, no refund will be made to you, save the deposit.
8. We will not pay any compensation if your booking is affected by circumstances beyond our control including but not limited to freak weather conditions, natural disasters, industrial disputes, fires, technical problems, or acts of government. In these circumstances we will inform you that the booking is cancelled and we will refund all money which we have received from you. You should arrange your own insurance to compensate you for any other loss which you may suffer.
9. We will not pay interest on any money refunded to you under these terms and conditions.
10. We will give you access to MaesburyRiversidefrom 4pm on your day of arrival until 10am on your day of departure. If you require additional access you must agree this with us prior to your arrival.
